“Thank you to the Mini sailors!”
“Crossing the ocean is my big dream and I want to make it come true.” The drivers prompting Masa Suzuki to compete in the Mini-Transat La Boulangère are simple. However, pulling this challenge off has been much less so. “I continue to live in Japan, so I have to make lots of trips to France to prepare for the Mini-Transat”, he explains. “Initially, I didn’t have very many friends in France, but the other sailors on the Mini circuit have been very kind to me. I’ve been able to prepare and make the most of life with a lot of them. I’d really like to thank them!”
Masa Suzuki has purchased a boat launched in 2003, though she too has never taken the start of the Mini-Transat before. “This will be the first adventure for both of us”, explains the Japanese skipper, who has completed all six races to prepare for the race.
