“Encountering my dream and achieving personal fulfilment”

“It wouldn’t be reasonable to part with my boat now. I really must return.” So said Pavel Roubal on his arrival in Martinique at the end of the Mini-Transat La Boulangère 2017. And the Czech has kept his promise as he will be on the start line once again on his Pogo 3. Forced to make two stopovers in 2017 due to on-board energy problems, Pavel hopes to fully defend his chances this time around, without such frustrations.

“I’m participating in the Mini-Transat to encounter my dream and achieve personal fulfilment. I’ve been constantly working to improve my physical fitness and my mental preparation”, explains the sailor, who is returning with some legitimate aims. Why not a Top 10? After all, Pavel Roubal will be racing on a Mini 6.50 he knows like the back of his hand. strong>“Despite her size, she is a high-performance machine, particularly on a reach. I have a lot of fun with this boat. If you have a Pogo, nothing’s impossible!”
