No time like the present!
At 58, Miguel has chosen to skip a step as he prepares to cross the Atlantic singlehanded for the first time. “It’s like a dream come true for me, a genuine personal challenge”.
A native of the Canaries, this entrepreneur with several tourism businesses in Tenerife, admits to not having any competitive hopes in this race. “I would have had some if I was 20, but I’ll be 58 when I take the start!” Before he takes this giant leap though, Miguel will first have to get his Vector 650 fairly close to home, to Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, where there is sure to be a big crowd to welcome him and cheer him on.
