Back with another even more powerful Vector

At just 23 years of age, Keni Piperol is one of the Mini-Transat La Boulangère’s repeat offenders. In 2017, for his first participation, the native of Guadeloupe earned himself a fine 4th place in the prototype category. “This year, I’m back with a new project and a new and highly innovative production boat, the Vector 6.50, a scow bow designed by Etienne Bertrand. The boat was launched in June 2018 and I’ve managed to tame her nicely. I hope to sail an even faster race than two years ago!”, he explains.

Having trained at the Guadeloupe Grand Large offshore training school, Keni Piperol has made a lot of progress since his instructive experiences in the Transat AG2R La Mondiale then the Quebec/Saint-Malo in 2016. “I now have a foothold in the offshore racing environment and I’m keen to continue at the same pace. That’s why I’m lining up for the start of the Mini-Transat. Thanks to this event, I’m going to amass even more experience and then maybe skip a step and move up to other bigger craft…”

Nautical track record:
