An economics and business graduate, Massimo Vatteroni has worked in bank data processing for over twenty years, for both third parties and his own company. Today, he is continuing his career in the management domain. His daily workload includes communicating, motivating and creating links, all of them designed to satisfy precise objectives.

Doubtless his professional qualities will be invaluable for bringing his Mini Transat project to a successful conclusion. His goal? First and foremost, to discover the ocean with a group of people who share my passion. I’m not setting off with any goals, I simply want to discover the sky with its classic trade wind clouds”, explains the Italian who has settled in Madrid and made his Mini 6.50 debut in 2020, essentially taking part in the races that make up the Mediterranean circuit, aboard his Pogo 2. The boat was launched in 2003 and has already competed in two Mini Transats, the first in 2003 with David Sineau (culminating in a podium place), then a second in 2019 with Jean Bachelerie. “I aspire to maintain a steady pace, which will hopefully enable me to place in the Top 30. I hope to enjoy some great sailing with a backdrop of sunshine, stars, waves and wind, as well as manage to hook back up with all my mates at the finish, in Guadeloupe, without having encountered any major technical and physical issues.”
