“To make fast headway in the right direction!”
Morten Bogacki is making his debut in the Mini-Transat La Boulangère on a very fine prototype, number 934 (Bertrand design), with which fellow German sailor Jörg Riechers secured 2nd place in 2017. “The project was late getting out of the starting blocks, so the preparation time has been very short. I’ve had to make do with focusing on the key points. Fortunately, the boat had been very well maintained”, he points out.
Morten has racked up some solid experience that ranges from dinghy sailing to cruiser racing, however crossing the Atlantic, especially singlehanded, will be a whole new ball game. His goals? “To have fun, get more offshore experience, put my personal limits to the test and to make fast headway in the right direction!”
Nautical track record:

- Mini Fastnet 2015 (production)
- Races on the Mini circuit in 2018 and 2019 (prototype category)
