“I’m so happy to make the finish. It’s a very powerful sentiment to tell yourself that you’re done, you’ve looped the loop, when you’ve given your all and come to the end of your campaign and your adventure. It really was a fantastic leg and a fantastic experience. Everything ran like clockwork. I couldn’t have hoped for better. Conditions were relatively calm, which enabled me to preserve my gear as it should be. I just broke my pole yesterday, but I managed to repair it. My experience from this leg was very different to the first, where I had issues with my autopilot and had to stay riveted to the helm for days on end. Here it was a sheer delight. I learnt and discovered a lot of things. That really pleased me! I’ve loved what I’ve just experienced!”
