Genís Hontoria Nogueroles (810) crossed the finish line of the second leg of the 23rd edition of the Mini Transat EuroChef in 25th place in the Production boat fleet this Monday 15 of Novembre at 14h 57min 50s (UTC). In this way, the skipper of Blue Oscar took 17 days 00 hours 57 minutes and 50 seconds to complete the 2,700 miles of the course between Santa Cruz de La Palma and Saint-François. His combined race time for the two legs equates to 28 days 01 hours 03 minutes 38 seconds.
“It went well, even though it dragged on a bit. I suffered no damage, everything went very well! I’d prepared my boat well, so I did a lot of sleeping and eating (laughs).
I found the adventure very calm at the start. The following days were hard as the wind picked up. I made a few mistakes, but nothing drastic. I feel very overwhelmed arriving here. It’s a childhood dream come true! Next up for me will be a round the world!”
