Carlos Manera (807 – Varador 2000), 28th production boat skipper: “I’ve fulfilled my objective”
Carlos Manera was the 28th production boat skipper to cross the finish line of the first leg of the 23rd edition of the Mini Transat EuroChef this Saturday 9 October at 13h30'50" (UTC). In so doing, the skipper of Varador 2000 took 12 days 50 hours to complete the 1,350-mile course between Les Sables d’Olonne and Santa Cruz de La Palma.

It was a bit longer than planned, but the last three days downwind were cool. It’s good training for the second leg. That’s important. I broke a few things, as usual, but I managed to catch up with those who were in front of me and I’ve fulfilled my objective, which was to be the first of the ‘old’ boats to make the finish, so that makes me pretty happy!
